We continue our discussion of what to do when disaster strikes, what to do when we face a crisis, problems or challenges.
As we move through the experience, and eventually we will move through it, we can use it as an opportunity to grow in Spirit.
In dire situations, we may have nowhere else to turn but God. But that is the best place to turn no matter the severity of the situation.
Who or what better to deal with our challenges than Infinite Intelligence, Divine Wisdom, and Perfect Love and Harmony?
If we can have faith in this Intelligence and Wisdom, if we can turn the solutions over to God, we will be happy and satisfied with the resolution.
But can we stop thinking about the problem and rely on God for the solution? Or will we try to figure it all out, meddle with the perfect working of the Law?
Secure the end through Spiritual Mind Treatment and let the Law and God carry it out.
Until next time,
Namaste

April Idea of the Month
This month we are talking about things going from bad to worse! What many people in the New Thought movement call a dissipative structure -- when it seems like a chain reaction of one "bad" thing happening after another. Waiting for the other shoe to drop -- you know the feeling.
Dissipative structures, in science, are the tearing down before the building up of something stronger, bigger, greater. The tearing down must happen in order for the building up to commence. And here is the key: a dissipative structure would not occur if the building up afterwards was not a guarantee. In other words, a dissipative structure is not just destruction and that's the end of it. A dissipative structure by definition, means a building up must happen.
None of us are immune to problems and challenges. That is part of the human experience.
Our spiritual evolution, awakening, and understanding is to grow beyond our human experience. It is to know our true identity and our true selves.
Our true selves are greater than problems. Our true selves are stronger than challenges -- because our true selves are in partnership with God. We are individualizations of God. That means that we have the same ability to changing the ever-changing physical conditions with the unchanging, omnipresent power of Spirit.
Though a certain present condition may be difficult, we must stay in the truth, give no more power to that condition, turn from that condition to the solution in Spirit, and know that we come out the other side of it better, stronger, happier, and closer to God.
Ernest Holmes said the same thinking that got us into this problem cannot and will not be the thinking that gets us out of it. Our thinking must be to the solution, to the resolution, to the greater livingness that this problem presents -- not the problem itself.
It may not be easy. We have thousands of years of human experience living in conditional thinking. But that is what we must do. We must have the disciplne, the faith, and the loving kindness toward ourselves to let God "make it right."

March Idea of the Month
This month we talk about what we perceive to be prayers unanswered. But are they really?
I shared in this month's newsletter about a treatment request I made that appears to have been unfulfilled. Yet I gained something important just from the mere asking for a treatment from a licensed practitioner. My consciousness was raised. And that is ultimately what a treatment is meant to do!
Raising your consciousness does so much more for you than a temporary need fulfilled. Most people think of a demonstration as having received something you wanted -- whether that was money to pay an unexpected bill to a new relationship to a healing of an illness. But the true demonstration is that you developed a higher prosperity consciousness or a higher loving consciousness or a higher health consciousness and the result -- this time -- manifested as money for a bill or a new relationship or a healing.
Do you see the difference? The higher consciousness is not a one-time solution to a one-time problem. It is a new and sustained self-contemplation which will affect the next thing and the next thing and the next thing in your life. It changes the trajectory of your life.
That is a treatment demonstrated.

Februay Idea of the Month
As kind of a spin off from the idea of last month: You and your Good cannot be separated, this month we talk about Staying in the Truth.
Staying in the Truth is similar to you and your Good being one. Because the Truth is there is only the One. If there is only the One, you cannot be apart from anything, especially your Good.
Staying in the Truth is consciously remembering and living from the Truth. Despite appearances, despite experiences, despite anything that DOES NOT look like the Truth.
And this is not easy. Our brain is telling us to trust our eyes. Our intellect is telling us to make judgements about what we see.
But as the Bible says, "judge not by appearances but judge rightly" which means don't go be what your eyes see or what your intellect is telling you what is happening. Judge or think correctly. And that is judge or think with Truth as your foundation, with Truth as your guide.
Share your thought on "judging rightly".
Until next time,

January Idea of the Month
First, Happy New Year to everyone.
Let's make 2013 your best year ever!
This first month of a brand new year, we talk about You and your Good.
You always have your Good. You cannot be separated from your Good. It may look that way, but you must stay committed to the idea that you have your Good, your Good cannot be taken from you in any way, and that you and your Good are One. If you do this, you will not experience the opposite.
This a challenging concept. Despite what appears, you must stay single-minded and affirm that you have your Good always. It takes discipline to not fall into the trap of being a "victim" of circumstance. You have your Good! Even if things don't change right away, stay committed to your good idea.
I'm working on a situation right now and I cannot allow myself to accept anything less than my Good. I cannot have any doubt that I will experience my Good in a particular situation. I must be patient. I must not give up!
As Winston Churchill once told a graduating class: "Never, never, never, never, never, never, never give up."
Post your thoughts below.

December Idea of the Month
This month in the newsletter we are talking about "Holy Days". (Appropriate for the "Holidays", right?)
The traditions and rituals of this time of year are the ways humans made an attempt to express Spirit and the universal principle of Love (the unconditional givingness of Spirit to Itself). When these traditions and rituals were developed, people didn't know they were making an unconscious (consciously unaware) connection to the principle of Love.
But now that the human race has become more enlightened, more consciously aware of its Spiritual Nature, we can consciously recognize our connection to Spirit and its principles and laws.
So when we are giving thanks at Thanksgiving, we are really thanking the Source of all things in our lives. When we are giving gifts to family and friends, we are really trying to express the unconditional givingness of God. When we gather with loved ones and sing and eat and share time, we are really acting as conduits of the Joy and Love of Spirit.
That is what makes these days "Holy Days." Let's keep that in mind. Let's keep them Holy throughout this season and on all days.
I wish you the Happiest of Holy Days!
Until next time,
